Alive First: The Rebellion Against Autopilot Living

Jennifer Urwyler: Powering a New Era of Patient-Centric Digital Healthcare

How Yvonne Wennerlid Is Inspiring People to Reconnect with Life Through Curiosity, Presence, and Courage

In a world increasingly driven by productivity metrics, external validation, and constant digital distraction, many people find themselves functioning efficiently — yet feeling disconnected from life itself. It is this growing gap between existing and truly living that inspired Yvonne Wennerlid to create Your Curiosity Path, a platform centered around curiosity, awareness, movement, and authentic human engagement.

Through her philosophy, “Alive First: The Rebellion Against Autopilot Living,” Yvonne challenges conventional ideas of success, identity, and self-development. Rather than promoting rigid systems or polished self-help formulas, she encourages people to actively participate in their own lives — to reconnect with presence, courage, exploration, and lived experience.

For Yvonne, curiosity is not simply an intellectual concept. It is a living force that moves people from observation into action, from hesitation into participation, and from passively watching life to fully entering it.

Building a Philosophy Rooted in Real Life

The inspiration behind Your Curiosity Path did not emerge from a corporate strategy session or a carefully structured business plan. Instead, it evolved naturally through years of observation, lived experiences, and deep reflection on human behavior and modern life.

A major influence on Yvonne’s worldview was her father, whose strong sense of curiosity and engagement remained alive throughout his entire life. Whether through conversations, reading, documentaries, nature, or simple everyday observations, he approached life with openness and active participation.

“That combination of curiosity and groundedness shaped something fundamental in me,” Yvonne explains. “Life is not meant to be observed from a distance, but lived fully, with all senses switched on.”

This perspective eventually became the foundation of her work: helping people move away from autopilot living and toward a more conscious, awake, and embodied relationship with life.

A Multifaceted Journey Across Industries and Experiences

One of the most remarkable aspects of Yvonne’s background is its diversity. Rather than following one predictable career path, she embraced a wide range of experiences across healthcare, education, leadership environments, communication, tourism, recruitment, entrepreneurship, and social sciences.

Over the years, she has worked as a nursing assistant, preschool teacher, summer camp leader, translator, entrepreneur, gym receptionist, university lunch coordinator, nanny, and school assistant. Each role added a different layer to her understanding of people, communication, human dynamics, and identity.

Academically, Yvonne completed a Master of Social Science degree focused on tourism and communication studies. Her research included cross-cultural leadership dynamics among Scandinavian managers working in China, as well as studies on human movement, communication, and behavioral patterns in social environments.

Alongside her professional experiences, she has consistently embraced life through exploration and active participation. From visiting the Great Wall of China and riding camels near the pyramids of Egypt to driving tractors, motorboats, and even learning unicycling, Yvonne’s philosophy has always been deeply experiential.

“I’ve never believed life should only be carefully planned and observed,” she says. “I believe it should be explored.”

Leadership Through Human Presence

Yvonne’s understanding of leadership differs significantly from traditional leadership models centered solely around authority, structure, or performance.

To her, true leadership is deeply relational.

“A manager organizes,” she explains. “A leader brings people with them through presence, clarity, and human connection.”

Having worked across schools, healthcare settings, NGO-related environments, recruitment, and organizational structures, she has witnessed firsthand how different leadership styles affect people emotionally and psychologically.

She believes one of the biggest qualities missing among many emerging leaders today is genuine ease in human connection. Too often, leadership becomes centered around maintaining authority or protecting professional roles instead of fostering openness, trust, and authentic communication.

“Leadership is not something you claim,” Yvonne says. “It is something people feel.”

This philosophy also shapes how she approaches collaboration and recruitment. Rather than seeking polished perfection or image-driven professionalism, she values curiosity, groundedness, openness, adaptability, and people who are willing to explore life actively rather than merely perform roles.

Challenging Autopilot Living

At the core of Alive First lies one essential question:

How much of modern life is truly lived consciously?

Yvonne believes many individuals unconsciously move through life according to inherited expectations, societal norms, routines, and predefined definitions of success. While structure and guidance can provide stability, they can also unintentionally distance people from themselves.

However, Yvonne does not advocate chaos or endless freedom without direction. Instead, she emphasizes awareness and conscious participation.

“Life is not meant to be endless options without direction,” she explains. “At some point, we need to choose, focus, and let go of paths that are not for us.”

Her work focuses on helping people reconnect with their own awareness — not by rejecting structure entirely, but by becoming more intentional in how they think, choose, move, and live.

Presence, Curiosity, and Movement

The values driving Your Curiosity Path are simple yet powerful: presence, curiosity, honesty, and movement.

For Yvonne, presence means fully showing up in life rather than mentally existing somewhere else. Curiosity means questioning routines, inherited beliefs, and fixed narratives about how life “should” be lived. Honesty means embracing the complexity and imperfection of being human without hiding behind polished identities. Movement — both physical and psychological — represents active engagement with life rather than stagnation.

Physical wellbeing also plays an essential role in her philosophy. Yvonne maintains an active lifestyle through regular cardio and strength training, daily walks, nature, and constant movement throughout the day.

“Life is meant to be lived actively, not observed from a distance,” she says.

This combination of physical embodiment and psychological awareness is central to the Alive First philosophy.

A Vision Beyond Traditional Growth

Unlike many modern businesses built around aggressive scaling models, Your Curiosity Path is intentionally fluid and adaptable.

Yvonne’s vision for the future is not based on rigid methods or highly controlled expansion strategies. Instead, she wants to continue creating experiences, writing projects, conversations, interviews, events, and collaborations that resonate across cultures and encourage people to reconnect with themselves in a grounded and accessible way.

“The need for curiosity, presence, and human connection is universal,” she explains.

Over the next several years, she hopes the platform will contribute to a broader cultural shift — one where people feel less like passive passengers in their own lives and more like active participants in how they think, feel, and move through the world.

Redefining Success

For Yvonne, success today has little to do with titles, prestige, or traditional external achievements.

Instead, success is rooted in self-awareness, growth, lived experience, and the courage to stay engaged with life.

“It is about how I live, not how I appear to live,” she says.

Whether through physical challenges, writing, exploration, human interaction, or reflection, she sees success as an ongoing process of participation rather than a final destination.

At its core, Alive First is not simply a professional platform or personal philosophy. It is a reminder that life itself is happening now — not someday, not after perfection, and not once every detail is controlled.

As Yvonne Wennerlid continues to inspire people around the world through Your Curiosity Path, her message remains both simple and profound:

Life is not meant to be watched from the sidelines.
It is meant to be lived — fully, consciously, and alive.
